Nader leads the product design and development of the ZEMA Solution—the premier offering in enterprise data management software and services. Nader previously led ZE’s Applications Support, Managed and Hosted Services, and Corporate Infrastructure. Nader played a crucial role in bolstering the operations of ZE’s Client Services, using his impressive technology background to support ZE’s internal infrastructure and service improvement initiatives.

Nader was instrumental in the design and development of what is known today as the ZE Cloud, a hassle-free solution that provides clients with access to a dedicated, full-featured deployment of ZEMA that is hosted on ZE’s state-of-the-art private cloud. As Chief Product Officer, Nader is utilizing his previous experience supporting ZEMA to drive the large team of developers, QA analysts, business analysts, database specialists, and technology experts he now manages, all of whom work together to continually deliver enhancements to the ZEMA software suite for a better ZEMA user experience.

Sid is a research director at Chartis Research with more than 20 years of experience in the financial, energy and commodities markets in various functions across the trade and software development lifecycles. He has held various roles in product development, trading, risk management, software development and consulting in banks, hedge funds, and risk advisory and software firms, including Standard Chartered Bank, TCG Group, HCL and Cognizant.

Sid’s specific areas of interest and research include risk data, model risk management, quantitative models in illiquid markets, high-performance analytics, energy and commodity trading risk, market structure design, new computational models, and the use of innovative mathematical methods in various emerging areas of risk management .He has a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management and is a qualified Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst CAIA, Financial Risk Manager (FRM) ,Energy Risk Professional (ERP), Member of GARP and CIPM from the CFA institute.

Vlasios is Argus’ Chief Data Officer. He joined Argus from Standard Chartered Bank where he was the head of the quantitative modelling and analytics team. He has expertise in data science for commodity markets and uses insights from data to illuminate trading, hedging and risk management for crude markets. He is the co-author of two books — one on applied data science and one on energy markets. Vlasios holds a PhD from City, University of London.

Michael O'Connell is Chief Analytics Officer at TIBCO Software, where he works with TIBCO customers and product teams to develop analytic solutions and provide input for product evolution. Michael has much experience in creating and deploying analytic applications across Energy, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Finance, Consumer Goods & Retail, and Telco, Media & Networks. His current passion is driving Insights to Action, combining visual and predictive analytics with data management and event streams for optimizing business operations. Michael did his Ph.D. work in Statistics at North Carolina State University and remains Adjunct Professor Statistics in the department.

Prior to Vortexa, Mr Kuhn was the Head of BP’s global front office technology programme and innovation group. Before joining BP, Mr Kuhn held various technology leadership roles at Uniper (formerly known as E.ON Energy Trading) in Dusseldorf, Germany. He was also a Quant Trader in a Statistical Arbitrage hedge fund based in San Francisco and worked at the NASA Ames Research Centre in Moffett Field, California.

Fabio has a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies (Information Management Systems) from Harvard University, a graduate certificate in Quantitative Methods in Finance and Risk Management from Stanford University, an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Purdue University and a Bachelor in Business Administration from UNIFACS.

Keith serves as Head of Strategy at Barchart and oversees Business Development, Data Products, and Product Strategy for Barchart's cmdty product line. While currently focused on physical commodities, Keith's background is rooted in financial markets, skills developed through stops at Bank of America, IMC Financial Markets, and CME Group. Keith has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and lives in Chicago.

Darien received his B.Sc. in Computer Science, M.Sc. in Business Administration and a Diploma of Applied Statistics from KTH University of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Presently, he is working toward a Doctoral Degree. His practices at ZE are primarily in the field of the electricity market, especially applications of Machine Learning to the problems of power systems such as short- and long-term Locational Marginal Price forecasting.

Calum Austin, Associate Director for Baltic Exchange handles market data strategy and freight derivatives business development. He has worked 11 years in the commodity markets taking on various roles such as commodity trader for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and commodity broker for Marex Spectron and more recently working within commodity derivatives for SGX and now commodity market data for the Baltic Exchange. He is a certified Energy Risk Professional.

James has been working in market intelligence for the last nine years, his experience ranges throughout the agricultural supply chain from input products (on fertilizer and pesticides), on commodity data itself through to consumer packaged goods. He has been responsible for sales and customer service operations in Europe, North America, and South America. He set up commercial operations for Informa Agribusiness (in IHS) in New York and Sao Paulo. James returned to Europe in September 2019, to head up commercial operations at AgFlow. Since joining AgFlow, he has been a vital part of the development of two new products- Risk Management API, a synthetic data product designed to help VaR and Mark-to-Market calculations, and TrendDiscovery API which provides backend access to AgFlow's database to more candidly support sophisticated data work.

Ryan manages the Americas Natural Gas Pricing team in Houston, overseeing S&P Global Platts’ daily and monthly indices for Gas Daily and Inside FERC Gas Market Report. His role also includes driving development of natural gas pricing and market engagement in Mexico & Brazil. Ryan previously worked as a researcher at the Center for a New American Security think tank in Washington, D.C., conducting research and developing recommendations to help strengthen US energy policy. A native of Long Island, he has a Bachelor’s in History from Loyola University Maryland and Master’s in Global Affairs and Energy Security from New York University.

Simon is Head of Commercial Strategy, Supply Chain at ICIS, working with the business to come up with next generation data and insights to support the global supply chain community. Focused on the process industry, he works on supply chain improvement projects helping customers with their digitization strategy.

Simon Hardy studied Chemical Engineering at University College London and has been working in the Chemical Industry for almost 30 years. For over 20 years, Simon has focused on eBusiness and Digital Transformation. He took the learnings from his 14 years at Air Products and Chemicals Inc and applied it to the rest of the industry when, in 2006, he joined the Digital Supply Chain Network, Elemica. After 14 years at Elemica, he joined ICIS in April 2020, taking his operational knowledge and applying it to the ICIS strategy. In his opinion, there is no excuse for not digitizing everything where there is obvious value and the returns outweigh the costs.

Julia is the managing editor of ICIS Fertilizer and is soon to celebrate her twenty fourth year with the group. Prior to managing and facilitating the global team and supporting her team on urea and nitrates coverage, Julia monitored the sulphur and sulphuric acid markets for a number of years and, before that, spent 17 years specializing in aromatics and related downstream derivatives. Prior to joining ICIS, Julia worked at Mobil Oil in its resale chemical division.

Kyle Tapley is a Senior Agricultural Meteorologist at Maxar in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He joined the Radiant Solutions weather team following his graduation from Penn State University in 2008 with a degree in Meteorology. Mr. Tapley is responsible for generating daily weather forecasts for major crop areas around the globe with an emphasis on how weather conditions affect production of agricultural commodities. He contributes to Maxar’s full suite of agricultural weather products and aids in generating production estimates for major agricultural commodities. Mr. Tapley also contributes to seasonal forecasts and is responsible for daily phone consultation with industry traders. Mr. Tapley is a frequent speaker at agricultural conferences in the United States, South America, and Europe, and leads Maxar’s annual crop tour of the Midwest.

Kent Graziano (AKA The Data Warrior), is the Chief Technical Evangelist for Snowflake and an award winning author, speaker, and trainer, in the areas of data modeling, data architecture, and data warehousing. He is an Oracle ACE Director (Alumni), Knight of the OakTable Network, a certified Data Vault Master and Data Vault 2.0 Practitioner (CDVP2), and expert solution architect with over 30 years of experience, including more than 25 years designing data warehousing and analytics solutions (in multiple industries). He is an internationally recognized expert in Cloud and Agile Data Warehousing. Mr. Graziano has developed and led many successful software and data warehouse implementation teams, including multiple agile DW/BI teams. He has written numerous articles, authored three Kindle books (available on Amazon.com), co-authored four books (including the 1st Edition of The Data Model Resource Book), and has given hundreds of presentations, nationally and internationally. He was a co-author on the first book on Data Vault, and the technical editor for Super Charge Your Data Warehouse. In 2014, he was voted one of the best presenters at OUGF14 in Helsinki, Finland. Nathan Cordier is chief analyst at agriculture advisory firm Agritel, an Argus Media company. He is an agricultural and agronomy engineer, and graduated from the Engineering school UniLaSalle Beauvais. Originally from Normandy, Nathan comes from an agricultural background. His dissertation focused on farmers' risk needs to mitigate their price risk in volatile markets. He was hired by Agritel first as a consultant and then as analyst.

Hugo Stappers is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing and sales support operations. He joined Pioneer Solutions in 2015 as Director of Sales & Marketing EMEA based in Rotterdam and is responsible for client-related activities including revenue, go-market strategy, and customer satisfaction across Europe and Middle East/Africa region.

Prior to Pioneer Solutions he held the position of Director of Sales/Marketing at SoftSmiths, Inc., an ETRM vendor catering to the North American market, based in Houston, Texas. Starting his career after military service in the Dutch Navy, he held sales support positions with Oracle based in Europe and the Middle East

Mr. Stappers holds a Bachelor-level diploma from the Institute for Business Administration in the Netherlands and had executive training from Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Management, and IMD Business School.
