Vigicrues

La vigilance crues, established in July 2006, was founded on the same principles of the meteorological surveillance produced by Météo-France. Its objective is to inform the public and the management operators in the event of a risk of flooding on rivers monitored by the State, as part of its regulatory mission in monitoring, forecasting and transmission of information on floods. La vigilance crues is intended to inform all interested audiences, individuals or professionals, in a clear and simple form. It is notably intended for public authorities in charge of civil security (prefects, mayors, etc.), who trigger alerts when necessary and mobilize emergency resources.
