Powernext

On 1st January 2020, Powernext was integrated into EEX. Natural gas activities previously operated by Powernext through its PEGAS platform, are now organized under the rulebooks of EEX for the Regulated Market and OTF. The registries activities are also operated by EEX. At the same time EEX established a Paris based branch contributing its expertise and manpower to the further development of the natural gas and registries activities. EEX offers power derivatives and gas markets under one Exchange license and allows its members to trade natural gas contracts in the Austrian, Belgian, CZemach, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish and UK market areas. The natural gas product range covers spot, futures and options contracts for the major European gas hubs as well as trading in location spread products between these market areas.
