Portland Natural Gas Transmission System
Portland Natural Gas Transmission System (PNGTS) is a pipeline that spans New England from the Canadian border to pipeline connections in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. Jointly owned by TC Energy Corp. (one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America) and Énergir (the largest natural gas distribution company in Quebec and Vermont), PNGTS has served gas utilities, industry and electric generation plants in the region since 1999. PNGTS is regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). It is currently authorized to move 168 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on its 295 miles of high-strength buried steel pipeline. This is enough energy to heat 573,000 New England homes each day. For more information, visit http://www.pngts.com/
