Echo Energy

The City of Lacombe began operating Echo Energy in 2013 as a new utility offering for consumers. The initiative is simple; we provide power to local homes and businesses, with the sales proceeds creating an alternative source of funding for community projects. The City does not actually generate any power; we are acting as an Energy Marketer. Your power will continue to be supported by the same grid as it always has been. Echo Energy provides customers with electricity rates that are competitive with the larger utility companies. Net proceeds from energy sales are deposited directly into the Echo Lacombe Community Fund, established to provide funding support for projects dedicated to improving the quality of life within our community.
