Energinet is an independent public enterprise owned by the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities. We own, operate and develop the transmission systems for electricity and natural gas in Denmark. Energinet must maintain a high level of security of supply, integrate renewable energy and promote optimal conditions for Denmark’s electricity and gas markets. In addition to Energinet’s responsibility for the security of supply in the Danish electricity and gas markets, we are also in charge of Denmark’s emergency preparedness in the electricity and gas sectors.
