Depuis 1950, le CPDP a connu toutes les mutations de la profession : soutien au développement, soutien des marchés pétroliers, campagnes d’exploration dans le Sahara, crise de Suez, contrôle la mise en œuvre des dispositions de la loi de 1928 puis libération des prix en 1985 et libéralisation du marché avec la loi portant réforme du régime pétrolier en décembre 1992. L’adaptation aux besoins de tous les acteurs, la continuité de service au profit de la profession pétrolière et des Pouvoirs publics ont toujours guidé le CPDP dans ses évolutions. En corrélation avec la redistribution du panier énergétique français, les mutations technologiques et les contraintes géopolitiques, le CPDP a ajusté son offre de service aux changements de l’environnement pétrolier. La révolution technologique est survenue avec l’informatisation. Le CPDP s’est très vite doté d’ordinateurs autorisant le traitement rapide des données chiffrées et permettant le dialogue. Puis, avec l’essor d’internet, le site du CPDP est arrivé en l’an 2000. Le virage technologique était pris, démontrant que la réactivité et l’adaptabilité font partie des traits affirmés du caractère du CPDP. The technological revolution has occurred with computerization.The CPDP very quickly acquired computers allowing the rapid processing of encrypted data and enabling dialogue. Then, with the rise of the internet, the CPDP site arrived in the year 2000.
